Risivi & Co. in order to avoid deterioration and / or damage of jewelry, due to wear and tear recommends to its customers a semi-annual (6 months) maintenance / overhaul service where the jewelry will be checked and restored according to the specifications of the individual case (the first overhaul is free and is offered by Risivi & Co.)
In the event that the client does not follow the above recommendation, Risivi & Co. is exempt from any and all responsibility for the status of the jewelry itself.
The Cash Clip Diamond it is the high-end version of the line: BA steel, 18 kt yellow gold, 24-karat gold inlays, kt, hand-engraved e two natural diamonds yes 0.66 carats.
A money clip works under bending stress: it opens and closes every time it is used, and it has to return exactly to where it was. Pure gold wouldn’t do that—at that thickness it would deform after just a few openings and stay open. Steel has the necessary elastic memory, and that is why it forms the structure.
Gold goes where it is seen and not where it bends: it is a division of roles dictated by the mechanics of the piece, not by aesthetics.
24 kt gold is pure, unalloyed gold: it is soft and cannot be used for construction, but it is the only type that produces that rich yellow color. Here, it is set into a groove that is hand-engraved and hammered so that it anchors itself into the rough surface of the underlying metal—an ancient technique in which the design is determined stroke by stroke and cannot be corrected.
0.66 carats in two diamonds, Color F, VS1 clarity and cut Triple Excellent, with IGI certificate. Triple Excellent is the highest rating for proportions, polish, and symmetry: it means that the cut is executed to the highest possible standard, and it is the characteristic that determines how much light the stone returns.
Each jewel is handmade: weight and caratage may vary slightly from what is indicated.
Hand engraving and then setting stones on the same piece means working in an irreversible order: the engraving must be done first, because the graver on an already assembled piece would risk damaging the stones.
