The Gothic Emerald Cross Pendant It's a cross 18 kt gold from a Gothic profile, with arms that close in trilobed points. The body is pavé-set with emeralds, while a baguette-cut diamond cross runs through the center, enclosed in a gold frame. The back is polished and engraved with a rose vine.
It measures 2 cm long by 1.5 cm wide, with a thickness of 2 mm: a compact size, designed to be worn every day and not just on special occasions.
Forty-eight stones in total. The body of the cross is covered with natural emeralds for 0.49 ct, in different calibers: the largest on the tips of the arms, the smaller ones following the inner profile. In the center, baguette-cut natural diamonds for 0.21 ct form the inner cross, with a princess cut diamond yes 0.02 ct at the intersection point. The dark settings around the emeralds emphasize the contrast with the gold frame that encloses the diamonds.
The back is not left smooth; it features a pattern of roses and leaves that climbs up the vertical arm and opens into four flowers, one at each end. It's the same design that characterizes the entire Gothic series, and it's only discovered when removing the pendant or turning it over in your fingers.
The emerald is more fragile than the diamond and must be set with different pressure: on a small setting like this, where the prongs are close together, the selection of stones matters as much as the mounting. In the center, the four baguettes converge on the princess cut and must be custom-cut so that there are no gaps. Each piece is hand-mounted and finished in our Rome workshop. The pendant can be made in any size, gold color, and natural stone combination: the price varies based on the final weight of the jewel and the carat weight of the gems.
