The Gothic Ruby Cross Pendant It's a cross 18 kt gold From a Gothic profile, with arms that close into trilobed points. The body is pavé with rubies, while a cross of baguette-cut diamonds enclosed in a gold frame runs through the center. The back is polished and engraved with a vine of roses.
It measures 2 cm long by 1.5 cm wide, with a thickness of 2 mm: a compact size, designed to be worn every day and not just on special occasions.
Forty-eight stones in total, and it's the highest color-grade version in the series: natural rubies for 0.65 ct cover the entire body of the cross, in different sizes, with the largest on the ends of the arms. In the center, baguette-cut natural diamonds for 0.19 ct form the inner cross, with a princess cut diamond yes 0.02 ct at the intersection point. The dark settings around the rubies emphasize the contrast with the gold frame that encloses the diamonds.
The back is not left smooth; it features a pattern of roses and leaves that climbs up the vertical arm and opens into four flowers, one at each end. It's the same design that characterizes the entire Gothic series, and it's only discovered when removing the pendant or turning it over in your fingers.
Each jewel is handmade: weight and caratage may vary slightly from what is indicated.
With forty-eight stones in two centimeters, the work lies entirely in the selection: the rubies must be matched by tone, because on such a small surface, a lighter or darker stone is immediately noticeable. In the center, the four baguettes converge on the princess cut stone and must be custom cut so that the gaps remain closed. Each piece is set and finished by hand in our Rome workshop. The pendant can be made in any size, gold color, and combination of natural stones: the price varies according to the final weight of the jewel and the carat weight of the gems.
