The Carbon Marquise Solitaire Ring Risivi & Co brings the Hi-Tech collection’s exploration of materials to the engagement ring. The outer dome is made entirely of carbon with a brushed directional grain finish, while the inside of the barrel is in white gold 18kt bright. The Natural marquise cut diamond yes 0.51 carats It is bezel-set in white gold, emerging from the dark surface of carbon like an eye of light on matte black.
The contrast isn't just aesthetic: the external carbon is cold, rigid, and industrial; the internal white gold is warm to the touch and precious. Wearing the ring Gold is touched, carbon is shown. It is a jewel that communicates different materials depending on who is looking and who is wearing it. The marquise cut, oriented horizontally, accentuates the width of the dome and creates an almond silhouette that recalls the shape of the eye, hence the nickname “Eye Ring” with which it is often identified in contemporary jewelry language.
Building a carbon ring with a white gold inner core requires precision craftsmanship that goes beyond traditional goldsmithing. The two materials have different thermal and mechanical behaviors, and every joint between the carbon dome and the gold inner shank must be calculated to ensure long-term durability. The white gold bezel that holds the marquise is worked directly into the carbon, creating a sharp transition between matte black and glossy white metal. Each ring is assembled and finished by hand in our Rome workshop.
