The Chunky Solitaire by Risivi & Co reinterprets the solitaire ring with a massive, sculptural band in yellow gold 18kt, where a Natural brilliant cut diamond yes 1.00 carat it is bezel-set directly into the mass of the gold, with no visible prongs. The result is an essential and modern design, where the weight and volume of the setting become as much the focus as the stone itself.
The bezel setting (known as “burnish setting”) secures the diamond by embedding it into the metal, creating a continuous, unbroken line between the stone and the band. This technique protects the gem on its entire perimeter, reducing the risk of impact on the sides, and gives the solitaire a low, architectural profile, far removed from the classic high-prong solitaire. Tapered barrel and generous, which is where the name “Chunky” comes from, visually balances the size of the diamond, giving the ring a striking presence even with the same carat weight.
