Description
The Sapphire Trillion Platinum Ring Assemble one 11.33 carat oval cut natural sapphire of origin Ceylon, on a structure in platinum.
Eleven carats is a collector's stone size: at this scale, transparency becomes the primary criterion, because the larger the stone, the more light must pass through it without encountering obstacles. This is why the Ceylon origin matters more here than on a two-carat stone — Sri Lankan deposits historically yield sapphires of a lighter, clearer blue that holds up well at significant carat weights.
Diamonds
Trillion cut diamonds for 0.72 carats e Brilliant cut for 0.20 carats, all color F/G and VS clarity. The trillion cuts are triangular: placed next to the oval, they follow its curve with one side and close with the point, without leaving any gaps.
Why platinum
Platinum is naturally white and does not reflect color into the stone. On a sapphire of this size, a plated white gold setting would have two flaws: the plating wears off, and underneath is an alloy that tends toward yellow.

The Artistry of Risivi & Co
An eleven-carat stone allows for no second chance: the setting is built around the single stone, measuring it, and the prongs are positioned where the sapphire is thickest. Platinum helps because it is tenacious and maintains its hold over time without yielding.
