The briar is not a common wood. It is an anomaly, a rare growth that forms on the trunk of a tree, the inner grain of which develops in twisted, swirling, unrepeatable patterns. It is, for all intents and purposes, the’fingerprint of a tree.
For centuries revered in the world of luxury for the interiors of prestigious automobiles and in cabinetmaking of the highest order, briarwood possesses a beauty that cannot be replicated. Each fragment has a story, a design that no craftsman can invent, only indulge.
Bringing briarwood into high jewelry is an extreme technical challenge. Wood is a “living” material: it moves, breathes and is sensitive to moisture. Gold and carbon are “static” materials, precise to the micron.
Bringing them together requires sartorial mastery beyond traditional goldsmithing.
Our process blends precision engineering with luxury cabinetmaking. Briar is selected, dried, and stabilized through high-tech processes, then cut with laser precision and set within 18kt gold or carbon fiber frameworks. It is a micro-architecture where materials with opposite souls learn to coexist in perfect harmony.

We inform the kind clientele that for the creation of a custom jewelry piece, a minimum budget of €2500.
The process involves four steps: Contact With Risivi & Co. to discuss the idea, send detailed quote, Drawing and realization of the jewel after payment of a down payment of 50%, and finally the Delivery via boutique in Rome or insured courier.
Production time varies depending on the complexity of the jewelry, but roughly it takes about 5-6 working weeks.
No, drawings or sketches of the jewelry will be provided only after payment of the down payment of 50%, as per standard procedure.
Delivery can be made directly to our boutique in Rome Via della Fontanella di Borghese 41, or via insured courier At the address provided by the customer.
After confirmation of the quote, the customer will pay a down payment of 50% To start production. The balance of the remaining 50% will take place. when the jewel is finished.
